Mock Election Results
The future voters, what do they stand for?
On November 3, 2020, America began to find out what the course of this country will take. While doing so, Mountainside High school put together a mock election in order to determine how Mountainside students would vote in the 2020 election.
134 students participated in this activity. Each student voted for a presidential candidate and yes or no on measure 108: tax raise on tobacco and E-cigarettes.
The official mock election candidate winner is… Joseph R. Biden and vice presidential candidate, Kamala D. Harris! With 113 votes for Biden leaving, 21 for Donald J. Trump.
Secondly, the results for measure 108, with an overwhelming 122 students voted yes on measure 108, while 12 voted to keep the tax the same.
