Madison Searle, Staff Reporter

Madison Searle (he/she/they) is a freshman, who plays bass for the marching band. They have been involved with Journalism and The Peak for less than a year.  Enjoys track and can jump over 13 feet. He feels that marching band is not recognized for the sport it is and has tentative plans to write a paper about it. She played soccer but later stopped because he had to pick a marching band over soccer and he chose a marching band.

They enjoy Journalism because it gives her the ability to write stories and he also enjoys photography. Her uncle introduced her to photography and enjoyed the idea ever since. When asked where she would visit if they could go anywhere in the world he said Japan because her mother has Japanese ancestry and she also said Sweden because they wanted to learn more about the connections between socialism and environmentalism.

He also mentioned Norway because it has scenic hikes. She got into hiking by walking around a hotel and exploring its beauty. They wish that people did not have to resort to crime to feed their family and that we would give everyone the basic necessity for a person. After writing this staff bio I learned that he is really fun to be around and has some good ideas for the world.
