One of the many students involved in The Peak is sophomore Ramona Washburn Dolson, who is passionate about writing and theater. She feels like everyone should try to take opportunities and be open to trying new things in life, and this is why;

Before high school, Ramona used to be introverted and quite anxious. She did not have a lot of friends and barely took new opportunities. All of that changed when she got to high school; Ramona had always liked theater, but the idea of actually being on stage was scary and intimidating. In her freshman year, she got involved in theater and a whole new world opened for her. She got more friends, a big community, and close connections. She learned how to express herself on a whole other level. Ramona was in two spring musicals; Beauty and the Beast, and She Kills Monsters.

Ramona also said that everyone can push themselves to do something they originally didn’t want to do.

Sometimes, Ramona wonders if she is on the right path in life. There are a lot of choices you can make that are related to your future college and career, which are overwhelming sometimes. Especially since she doesn’t want to miss out on her teenage years either, which is surely a universal struggle. When I asked Ramona if she had something to share about living in the present and enjoying the time you are in right now, she said that she is trying to be more social and put her phone down more often, in order to enjoy the present. An example of this is reading; instead of being on her phone, she tries to read more often.

In conclusion, Ramona is going to be an amazing staff member of the Peak!
