Katie Fernandez Vargas (she/her), a thoughtful senior hoping to mentor and inspire anyone to become a writer. Katie was inspired to join the school newspaper from the excitement of taking a journalism class in her Junior year and inspired to write about popular topics. Katie wants to learn skills to pursue journalism into achieving a profession in helping with others with communication. On the side they enjoy spending time with their dog, going on walks, hanging out with friends, and reading. In times alone, she describes herself as an introvert and around others, she enjoys talking to them if they are nice. Her goal for her future profession is getting a job to help people. Katie would like to inspire anyone who reads the MHS newspaper and hopes people think she’s well at writing. After she graduates her legacy to others is anyone can be a writer if you just put your mind to it.
