The new star forward and Stanford commit, Cameron Brink, had this to say about the upcoming season, “[We expect] other teams [to be] super aggressive…chippy games. We just gotta play through contact. Staying composed, we need to recognize when we need to slow down. But I would say that we have a lot of potential.” It seems like the girls team is very excited for this year, and they have high expectations for themselves.

This season the girls kicked off their season in an MHS Tournament starting Friday, December 6th @ 7 pm. The Tournament was at Mountainside on Friday and Saturday. The girls beat Clackamas 57-46, and Sherwood 77-52. The first away game for the team was against Canby High School, they ultimately lost 44-51. The team will go down to Phoenix Az, for a larger tournament that spans from December 18th to the 21st. One notable game will be against Benson at the University of Portland. Tip-off will be at 3 pm on January 20th at the Chiles Center. Conference play will begin January 14th, with Beaverton as our first opponent. The Southridge games will be on January 14th, and February 18th, both of them at 7 pm. January 14th the Mavs host the hawks and then on the 18th it’s vice versa.
